How Cathalyst uses WhatsApp Business to communicate with clients and prospects.

Overview

Cathalyst uses WhatsApp Business to communicate with clients, prospects, and partners who have expressly opted in to receive messages through this channel. Our use of WhatsApp Business is governed by Meta's WhatsApp Business Terms of Service, as well as applicable Brazilian law including the LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados) and the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (CDC).

Consent and Opt-In

  • We only send WhatsApp messages to individuals who have explicitly consented to receive communications via this channel.
  • Consent is obtained through direct request (e.g., 'Contact us via WhatsApp'), website forms with an explicit opt-in checkbox, or verbal agreement recorded during a service call.
  • Consent records — including timestamp, channel, and scope — are stored securely.
  • We do not add contacts to WhatsApp lists without prior expressed consent.

Types of Communications

  • Service notifications: project updates, delivery confirmations, and support responses related to active contracts.
  • Commercial messages: proposals, offers, or service announcements — sent only with prior consent and clearly identified as commercial in nature.
  • Transactional messages: invoices, meeting confirmations, and administrative communications.
  • Support conversations: responses to inbound messages initiated by the user.

Message Frequency

Cathalyst sends WhatsApp messages only when relevant to the recipient's needs or active engagement. We do not engage in high-frequency or broadcast-style messaging. Recipients can expect to receive messages proportional to the stage and activity of their relationship with us.

Opt-Out / Unsubscribe

  • You can opt out of WhatsApp communications from Cathalyst at any time by replying 'STOP', 'SAIR', or 'CANCELAR' to any of our messages.
  • You may also request removal by emailing contato@cathalyst.com.br with the subject 'WhatsApp Opt-Out'.
  • Opt-out requests are processed within 5 business days. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further outbound messages thereafter.
  • Opting out of WhatsApp communications does not affect any active service contracts.

Data Usage

Phone numbers and conversation content shared via WhatsApp Business are treated as personal data under the LGPD. This data is used exclusively for the communication purposes described above. We do not sell or share WhatsApp data with third parties for marketing purposes. For full details on data handling, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

WhatsApp and Meta Policies

Our use of WhatsApp Business is also subject to Meta's WhatsApp Business Terms of Service and WhatsApp's Acceptable Use Policy. By communicating with us via WhatsApp, you acknowledge that messages are processed through Meta's infrastructure. Prohibited Uses

  • We do not use WhatsApp to send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or deceptive content.
  • We do not impersonate other companies or individuals through WhatsApp Business.
  • We do not use WhatsApp to collect sensitive data such as passwords, payment card details, or government identification numbers.

Changes to These Terms

These WhatsApp Business Terms may be updated to reflect changes in our practices or applicable regulations. The 'Last updated' date reflects the most recent revision. Continued engagement via WhatsApp after changes constitutes acceptance.
